Founded in 2013, MOX Networks, LLC (“MOX”) is a private company wholly owned by Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, the founder of NantWorks, a network of health and technology startups.
In order to meet Dr. Soon-Shiong’s mission “to converge ultra-low power semiconductor technology, supercomputing, high performance, secure advanced networks and augmented intelligence to transform how we work, play, and live,” the MOX network was built.

Justin Melnikoff
President & Chief Operating Officer
Justin is responsible for daily operations as well as planning and executing MOX’s corporate strategy. Justin has extensive background in building and developing strategic alliances, acquisitions, and establishing or procuring assets that coincide with the executive vision.
Prior to MOX, he managed business development for Sidera Networks, where he was responsible for building strategic relationships that facilitated network expansion and formalized agreements that produced revenue and cost savings for the organization. Justin received his J.D. from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law, B.S. from The Ohio State University, and holds a license to practice law from the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Eric Hall
Vice President, Sales Engineering
Eric brings over 21 years of network planning, engineering and sales engineering experience to MOX Networks.
He has held leadership roles at Sidera as a Sales Engineer, Intellifiber/Paetec/Windstream as a Network Engineer/Sales Engineer, and CityNet (acquired by Zayo) as a Senior Sales Engineer, as well as OnFiber, McLeod and WorldCom. Eric holds a B.S.E.E. in Electrical Engineering from The University of Tulsa.
Tanya M. Hamerler
Vice President, Operations
Tanya oversees the network operations, construction and project management divisions of MOX Network’s global footprint.
Prior to joining MOX, Tanya worked for NTT America for over 16 years bringing her vast experience managing and overseeing Fortune 500 companies across the globe. Her responsibilities also include data center design and deployment, process integration, managing at-risk projects and providing technical and business leadership.
Denise Clayton
General Counsel
Denise gained her experience in the world of technology first as a regulatory attorney, beginning her career as an Attorney Examiner at the PUCO. Later, in private practice, Denise represented industrial energy users, cable companies, and local exchange companies.
Denise held various positions at XO Communications, over the years representing product management, procurement, engineering and operations as well as finance. Denise was involved in the merger of XO and Verizon, serving on the integration and transition legal teams. Previously at Verizon, Denise worked with the engineering, operations, real estate and government relations teams on One Fiber, which included 4G densification and 5G planning.
Brent Beaver
Vice President, Outside Plant Engineering & Construction
Brent brings 25 years of construction and fiber optic experience and knowledge on an international level that includes submarine, long haul, and metropolitan projects.
He has led major technology initiatives, completing multi-million field projects, overseeing massive enterprise voice, data, and wireless wireline network build-outs in previous roles at Rogers/Sprint and Toronto Electric Utility.
Brent combines technical knowledge with sound business acumen to manage projects to specification, meet and exceed service level expectations, reduce operating costs, and maximize business revenues.
Leslie Reid
Vice President, Marketing
Leslie heads all marketing initiatives for MOX, focusing on corporate branding, creating market awareness and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Prior to MOX, Leslie was the Director of Global Marketing at EdgeConneX, leading the creation of the brand, complete with messaging and go-to-market strategy. Leslie also served as Sr. Marketing Manager of Sidera Networks with a focus on experiential marketing efforts and corporate rebranding. Previously, Leslie served as Director of Marketing and launched the Intellifiber Networks brand and market positioning. Leslie has a BBA in Management from James Madison University.
David Bigelow
Senior Vice President, Engineering & Planning
David is responsible for the architecture and design of MOX’s facilities and transport network. Prior to joining MOX, David ran the Sidera Technology Lab and was head of Network Architecture & Design for Sidera Networks. He also held management positions in network and field operations while at Sidera Networks.
He started his career in the USAF working with microwave radio transmission and upon being honorably discharged worked for MCI as a TSO Field Engineer. David is a graduate of Northeastern University.
Allen Meeks
Vice President, Corporate & Business Development
Allen has over 15 years of telecom industry experience across business development, network design, and sales engineering. Combining engineering expertise and a passion for entrepreneurship, Allen has fulfilled a variety of business development and sales engineering roles at Qwest, NTT and others, as well as strategy consulting for various regional interexchange transport networks in the Pacific Northwest region.
Prior to joining MOX, Allen joined a start-up transit aggregator, Spectrum Networks and was instrumental in growing and selling the company to Wave Broadband in 2015.
